Humic acids are
an excellent choice for detoxification and remediation of soils. They are economical, safe and an effective way to clean up oil
spills, remediate excess salts, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. They have also
have been shown to be effective at removing heavy metals and radionuclides from
waste water streams and the soil.
The combination of activated humic
substances and sodium bentonite is even better because the clay retains by
binding the radionuclides and heavy metals for extended periods of time or until they are no longer a risk factor.
In addition to soil remediation Orgoclay can be added
to septic tanks, outhouses, composting toilets, pit lagoons and holding
ponds.
Humic Acids:
Stimulate microbes, which breakdown contaminants in bioremediation
Bind contaminants in affected soils including agricultural chemicals such as triazines and radionuclides
Binds heavy metals to make them harmless in our environment
Absorb residues of contaminants
Mineralize problem compounds, which microbes do not metabolize
